As you may know I'm Brian B! From left to right that's my mom JoAnn (she has worked in the dance business for 8 years now) Ms Emily (rockstar dancer, teacher and your community member here on the website. Then of course myself and Ms Megan. We're all here to help you in any way we can.

We all live in Louisville KY. I (Brian) have been dancing for 22+ years, Emily and Megan have been dancing since they were kids, JoAnn (my mom) doesn't dance but she knows a lot about the struggles of new dancers because she talks to all of our new students.

We'd love your to make a post telling us:

  • Who you are?

  • Where you live?

  • How long have you been dancing?

  • How can we help you?

Best wishes,

Brian, Megan, Emily

Great question Juan - Technically either dancer could. More often that not it would be the leader BUT it's totally a feel that the follower could give the leader. Let me know if that helps or if you have any more questions! -Brian
Boom! Now I know. I was never quite sure ;-)

Hi Carol, Super sorry for the glitch. I sent you an email and you should have access to it now. We put a lot of effort into our videos and try our best but we're human and we sometimes make mistakes. -Brian

Thanks Thomas. We're on it. We're hunting to find the missing portion of the video and if not we will re-shoot it. Thanks for bringing it to our attention!

Hey Thomas! Thanks for the feedback. Can you please let me know which video is missing the "technique & demo" Then we can get it fixed. I'm pretty sure we made a mistake in editing. Thanks for your help! -Brian

The difference between sweetheart and shadow technically is that shadow would mean the leader and follower are on the same footwork. In sweetheart they don't have to be. However the name gets confused and interchanged, so the technical difference has lost a bit of meaning.

Hello, no they do not get close enough to bump the other person. Use the connection in your hands to stop before you connect with the other person.
