I just had my first competition (newcomer wcs, night club, and two step). I loved it and really want to try to advance quickly. How often per week should I be practicing? Any tips for practicing on my own? I take lessons with a pro once per week, but am having trouble finding a partner to practice with.

Joan Lundhal and Craig Johnson… also love watching them compete.

It doesn’t sound too similar, but bloodstream made me think of a song that gets used a lot at my studio.

Any tips/advice for competing?

I am new to dance this year and have been taking lessons for months now. I am thinking about singing up for a ucwdc event in March as a newcomer. I’d appreciate any advice or anyone willing to share what their experience was like as a first time competitor.

How fun! Its always so interesting to see how linedancing and two step have spread internationally (I noticed a ton of youtube videos out of Asia). I am excited to learn WCS, and build on the two step I am already doing. I just signed up for the year, and have really liked it so far.

First saw your videos on youtube, and found my way to this site. I was a long time line dancer, and recently started taking two step lessons. I am in San Francisco, so finding a teacher was really difficult. Last week I started classes with Arthur Murray, but was looking for content I could review and practice at home. Really like what I have seen so far!
