Hey Michael Daly! You can use a followers inside or outside turn to get back to closed. As the leader, the easiest way to get to closed, in my opinion, is to use a J-hook action and pick up the back as the follower comes towards you. Hope that helps!!

Hey Paul Frank!The starter step can definitely be tricky. Try thinking of the second triple, not as a rock step but as more of a second triple in place (aka your anchor step) to allow your partner to connect to your right hand on their shoulder blade. That connection/stretch is key to lead whatever you want to do out of the anchor step. Check out this video about creating the stretch. There are a few other videos about mastering the anchor step too! Hope this helps!

Ian Farrow - we have a few videos that talk about hand holds as they relate to some dance styles, but not super in depth. We have a few body isolation videos, if you type those in the search bar (in our live videos) and if you search for styling or connection, you should find some videos that talk about different hand holds. Hope that helps!!

Liner - hey there! Unfortunately we had some mic issues during our live videos, but we finally figured out (of course after this video) 😜I'll see if we can redo the video, but we have a lot of videos in the docket! 😮We do have newer separate videos for how to be better leaders and followers, which should have similar info to the live video. They are labeled - How to be a Good Leader/Follower. I've attached the leader video below. 

Ian Farrow - those are some cool styles that I had never heard of before. Thanks for introducing us to these styles! Unfortunately, I'm not sure if our videos are what you need for these styles. We do have some body isolation videos that are helpful with ways to move your body better, but as far as actual dance styles, the only thing that might be helpful is Bachata because of their body waves and consciousness with your partner...sadly that might be it. We think Zouk, and maybe even some Bollywood might be some dance styles similar to what you're looking for. Hope that helps!! 😀
