Yes! CHRISTOPHER O'CONNOR! Another Bolero lover! It's an underrated dance, that more people should learn ðŸ’—Jitterbug is a great dance too! I teach it to a lot of my couples going to weddings (along with Rumba) so they have something to do to fast, medium and slow songs. It is a fun social dance for sure.Latin music can be awesome, as long as they're not 8 minutes long ðŸ˜œBut they're always full of energy and fun. Thanks for sharing!!

Well that's fun! I've never heard that, but I love that music. Cajun music definitely was played at our Mardi Gras event, but it was more background music and not socially danced to. American Standard - very nice ðŸ˜€Thanks for sharing, Melinda!

Carroll Wilcox - love it! I haven't done much Lindy or Shag but they're definitely fun to watch!! Dance on my friend!

Hey there Dennis…I’m sorry you’re disappointed in my response to Andy.

I think he made some valid points when it comes to more of a social setting and, there are some cases of having to follow the follower. You’ll hear Brian joke sometimes that the leader thinks he’s the leader but really he’s following the follower…in that, sometimes what we try to do as the leader doesn’t always work, but we ebb and flow with our partner. That’s also more for someone who goes out and social dances with random people and doesn’t have a full time partner, like you!

Im still sticking to the importance of connection for you and your wife. That, along with her knowing her own footwork and not anticipating your moments is my recommendation. Megan and I just made a video about 3 keys for followers, when it comes out…hopefully it will help with the situation!!

Hey there Vicki Carrington!!

Brian and I have searched the archives...is this the video you're talking about? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P03Qofzngzw

Hopefully it is!! Let me know ðŸ˜€

Andrew thanks for asking! One of the community tab goals, is for all of us to chime in when we see something that might help another fellow dancer. Your comment makes total sense 🙂 Sometimes if the person isn’t tagged, they don’t always see it.

Yes! Totally agree, Jami ! I love my 90s country!!

Hey there Vince Gandolfo! There are definitely some correlations between Shag and WCS. We unfortunately don’t plan on adding Shag to our website because none of us have really learned/taught it in our area. It might make its way to the site in the future, but it’s definitely a fun dance to watch!

Love it! What’s your go-to dance with that genre, Carroll ?!
