Hey there Faith,

We all have gone through those clumsy phases for sure, and sometimes we all still step on our own feet (darn things!) 😜. The important thing, as hard as it can be, is to be patient with yourself. It sounds like you've got a good groove now! Welcome to the dance community - let us know if you have any struggles along the way! Chances are, you're not the only one with them! Happy dancing!

Vernon Biscoe so sorry for the delay…what exactly do you mean by draping?

Daniel Sawyer we’ve got TONS of West Coast Swing and working on adding to Foxtrot!!

Jennifer Cornell it sure does look like it’s Danching…let me talk to Brian and see what we can do to help with this!! I’m so sorry!

Penne Ard baby steps lead to big leaps! Way to start again!!! We’re here for anything you need along the way 🙂

Marshall Krakauer - great point! You'll still do your 3 steps but the emphasis is on a different part of the beat. In a syncopation, you're disrupting the 'normal' count flow. Instead of counting 1 & 2, or 3 & 4, depending on where you are in the pattern, for a syncopation you're accelerating into the first step and counting & 1, 2 or & 3,4 (etc). If you choose to do this, you might hit something in the music differently, adding a little musicality and style to the dance. Hope that helps!
