Hey there Connie Muther!Good point...sorry about that. We typically use a curving basic to get into the correct alignment for the Double Corte. That's the easiest way we've found to get into the diagonal center postition. Let us know if you have any questions!

Hey Dennis!

Iā€™m glad you and your wife are dancing together. Itā€™s great for her to know her own footwork, but totally understand that anticipating the move is not good.

Have you tried any connection drills? Check out this videoā€¦it might help! Let me know if it does ā˜ŗļø

Vicki Carrington - Iā€™ll try to go back and find the video for youā€¦thanks for your patience!

Great question Melinda !!!

For all of our turns you want to be over the ball of the foot, and definitely not the heel. If you start to turn on your heels, your weight will not be balanced and youā€™ll feel very off balanced. The further your heel is off the ground, the less grounded you are.

The further you take the heel off the ground, the more room to fall there is. Iā€™d recommend hovering or staying close to the floor with the rest of your foot.

If the pros are lifting their heel, most likely theyā€™ve had ballet training and are very comfy turning on their own or know how to shift their weight to adjust.

Hope that helps!!

Melinda - A think we figured out what happened!!!

I had 2 email addresses to log in and we deleted one of them (to be less confusing) in the processā€¦any of the comments from that email address disappeared šŸ˜©

Iā€™m working to go back through and commenting on everything again. Sorry for the confusion and inconvenience!

Hey Lucie Arsenault !!

Thanks for subscribing to the site! We currently donā€™t have Merengue, but we do have some other popular club Latin dances like Bachata and Salsa. We also have Mambo, Samba and Cha cha! Have you tried Bachata?! Itā€™s one of our favorites ā£ļøWell see what we can do about adding some Merengue
