That’s the way I learned it back in the early 80’s - step-together, step, step - but we didn’t pick our feet up, we glided; nothing lthe feeling of gliding across a dance-powdered wood floor! That’s why they called it boot scooting’, not boot marching 😉😁😌

Yikes! This is a European style polka. It’s not supposed to be country western polka, right, aka triple step, country shuffle, et al?

Good God, y’all. The double 2-Step or a Triple are much more common and much less “ballroom-y” looking. Yikes!

Texas 2- Step. But really, all the styles of CW couple dancing from the 80’s: 2-Step, Triple Step, and Waltz, plus specialty dances, The cotton-Eyed Joe and the Texas Schottische (if that includes the 2nd of the two parts, the triple step/shuffle break, as in the CEJ).
