So how do you feel about ACDA rules now pulling in Vienesse Waltz to the country dances?

Assuming it's not already there and I'm just not seeing it, I'd like to suggest a "recently added" section to the videos so you can easily see new content.

Brian BDon't forget Salsa and bachata ;).  Seriously I'm glad to hear there are more events in the pipeline. I think there is another base of students out there, that would compete if there was, for lack of a better term, a happy medium dance comp.  Serious but not super serious with emphasis on fun

Yeah covid did a number on the dance world for sure.  I'd love to see more comps like this here in Texas vs the usually WCS J&J.

Here you go :).  https://riograndedanceclassic.com/  One reason I am going is all the J&Js for dance other than WCS.  Looking forward to the Rhythm division.

Richard So one thing I have known to help, although it s a little unorthodox, involves also counting out loud.  But basically, you take a road trip with someone who can stay on beat, and then just play music and count.  Set your Spotify list to shuffle and whatever type of music comes one, you just count it and if you get off your friend helps you find the count again.  I helped some do this for salsa on a 1.5 hour road trip, both ways, and by the end, he was nailing it.

Is there any reason you would not do something like an open break-to-back spot turn in NC2?  Thinking more of it from either a social dance or J&J point of view vs. closed syllabus.
