Please check the video called "Rumba Moves" 10:03 mins. It does not play. Thanks!
First saw your videos on youtube, and found my way to this site. I was a long time line dancer, and recently started taking two step lessons. I am in San Francisco, so finding a teacher was really difficult. Last week I started classes with Arthur Murray, but was looking for content I could review and practice at home. Really like what I have seen so far!
So history tells me that if one person in a class has a question, then the same question is usually shared by another person. In Tango, when you / we start with the Quicks does that mean after the walks (two Slows), in place of the (two Slows), or either way?
Sorry but I can be so thick sometimes.
Megan and I just arrived in Bergen Norway. We will be here teaching Friday-Monday. So excited to see a new city in Norway and to meet a bunch of new dance friends.
Here I am at 70 but I still get around fairly well (thank you Jesus). I have done C&W since late teens, Mom & older sisters, and then as young adult with my wife and friends. I started with "formal" lessons around 1987 with the C&W so I have a lot exposure in that arena. I didn't start the Second part until about two years ago with Cha-Cha. Now it is Rumba, Tango, Cha-Cha, Waltz, a little of Salsa. I only wish that I had started the "Second part" years ago. It has opened many doors and I have met many new people who are "Ballroom" dancers.
To my fellow dancers - expand your styles and enjoy what gifts you are blessed with.
Thanks all!
This is Ed from Ohio, I just started dancing with my girlfriend about 8 months ago and love it. I'm just finishing up the trial period and will be signing up for the annual membership. I now have so much great information to go through. Thanks!
Currently live in southern NM, and its not only a literal desert, its also a WCS desert. I'm wanting to move in the near future to somewhere in the northeast with WCS instruction and community. Retired, so job market isn't relevant. Here is a pic of the acceptable area (included Chicago and Detroit, although i know they aren't NE). Would love some feedback on where to go.
SAMBA - 12:19 into video - Voltas. On entry does the man line up with the women or is he slightly behind
Assuming it's not already there and I'm just not seeing it, I'd like to suggest a "recently added" section to the videos so you can easily see new content.
