I love that you taught the fifth position break right before this, as it makes it that much easier to learn! We had actually tried some intermediate moves before starting with the beginner syllabus, but learning these basics makes it so much easier to learn the more advanced moves as we progress!

Hi! I do have a question about technique in rhumba. I know you step toe to heel, and I heard Emily say “never leave the ground”. I just want to make sure I’m stepping correctly! You do have to leave the ground when stepping, right? Do you mean not to leave the ground very far, or does the toe touch the ground the whole time! I thought I knew how to step for rhumba but I find myself questioning if I’m doing it correctly! Can you please clarify, you do have to pick up your foot to step, right, or do you drag the toe on the ground slightly the whole time?

I’m having a hard time distinguishing the difference veteeen the salsa catwalk and the salsa catwalk with the right hand turn, as I think you turn right or clockwise in both as the follower. Is the difference mainly for the leader?
