I'm loving Country Swing, but it seems to be all turn patterns and tricks. What do you do between the turn patterns to rest or just groove? East Coast Swing? Thanks.
Burning question: please clarify for me? I always thought as a follower, i should learn to lead, and thats where I stopped, because I thought Id have to learn alll the stuff backwards…. Am I daft? Cant I just lead a leader if he/she is in on it? Like i take the wheel, and they follow me but we just keep in same steps…? Help i know this probably is a very dumb question.
WCS seems to be more popular than ECS. That's my impression from your site as you teach more WCS steps. May I know why WCS is more popular? I recently learned and now dance ECS and I like it and the dance music. From where I live (Philippines), folks neither dance WCS nor ECS but they appreciate ECS type of music (mostly rockn'roll), and so dance to the music no matter how. PS. would love if you can provide ECS patterns in your 'move of the week'. thnx.
What are bronze and silver cha cha? I've learned cha cha and it appears to be the same cha cha that I see Brian and Megan teach. I'd like to take in person lessons and see "bronze cha cha" and "silver cha cha" advertised. What is the difference and which one lines up with what Brian and Megan teach?
Hi, I’m grateful for the country swing videos. I have learned quite a bit. However, the country swing library seems to have far less videos that other dances. I’m interested to learn more country swing. Will there be more videos added to the country swing library?
Newbie Introduction. Not new to dancing, but to the app and this group; and I have LOTS of questions: is there an FAQ section anywhere? And regarding the community forum, are there subgroups, so that can only focus on CW couple dancing and not have to wade through the myriad of other, irrelevant-to-me styles!
Oh, and I’m “Jumpsuit” Jamey Hall, from Fayetteville, AR., and have been dancing and teaching traditional Texas 2-Step for 40 years. Thanks!
I comfortably dance two step to songs of a certain bpm (170 i think). But many songs are faster. How do you handle that. I can recognize waltz, sometimes I'll switch to shuffle. Anything else?
Danced many years ago. Trying to learn again how to dance and connect positively with a partner on the dance floor. Hoping this site will help me resurrect a bit of muscle memory and learn again to enjoy dancing.
I met one of our members while out dancing in Nashville TN. He had all of his 2-step patterns from our syllabus written on a note card. How cool is that? -B
Looking for a few hot, new WCS & NC2 music for Rapid this weekend. Thanks in advance. Machelle
