Hi! I just created an account hoping to learn country swing. I loved your you tube tutorial on this but don’t see this option here… any advice? Maybe in in the wrong place?
My husband and I just started taking lessons 3 weeks ago. So we are brand new to East Coast Swing dancing. So far we are enjoying learning from your videos.
My wife Ann & I have taken ballroom, swing & Latin dance lessons on and off for about 4 years. I would say we’re at an intermediate level. We discovered your on-line WCS site a couple of years ago and have learned so much from your crystal clear, step by step instructions – thanks!
Thanks for adding the Pattern Tree reference list with the live links! It really helps us see at a glance all the different steps grouped together so we can easily explore different variations or quickly jump to other moves of interest.
We’re also glad you’re adding other types of dances to your site too! We haven't learned much 2 step, so that's next on our list to try via your videos. These are the best on-line video instructions we’ve ever seen!
Hello everyone, my name is Becky. I’m 41 and live in Indy. I loved dancing in my earlier years, but it was always “solo” dancing, mostly hip-hop, because I’m not good with learning steps on the spot and sucked at following. I was in a horrible relationship for 15 years, which sucked the life out of me. A year after recovery from that (2 months ago), I started taking private lessons to keep up with a 73 year old super active and experienced dancer I see every week now at karaoke (mostly country music, slow and fast). I also started watching YouTube videos to speed up my progress. The videos from here are the ones I ended up watching about 80% of the time, so here I am now. Officially a member! Right now, I am trying to focus on Hustle and WCS, but also learning Two Step, Rumba, Cha Cha, ECS, and Waltz.

As you may know I'm Brian B! From left to right that's my mom JoAnn (she has worked in the dance business for 8 years now) Ms Emily (rockstar dancer, teacher and your community member here on the website. Then of course myself and Ms Megan. We're all here to help you in any way we can.
We all live in Louisville KY. I (Brian) have been dancing for 22+ years, Emily and Megan have been dancing since they were kids, JoAnn (my mom) doesn't dance but she knows a lot about the struggles of new dancers because she talks to all of our new students.
We'd love your to make a post telling us:
Who you are?
Where you live?
How long have you been dancing?
How can we help you?
Best wishes,
Brian, Megan, Emily
I’m so grateful to be a part of the WCS community. I’m 72 years old and I’ve been dancing WCS for the past 3 years, started ballroom dancing 3 years prior to that but now want to concentrate on West Coast Swing. Biggest challenge? Working on one-leg spins right now. Plus musicality, always!
Trying to get my wife interested in country polka and we wanted a little more. I was wondering if you could break down some of the moves on YouTube's Wildhorse Saloon 075, my favorite routine.
I started to dance in 2002 by taking WCS classes. I shifted to smooth and Latin ballroom with my late wife (we met on a dance floor). Eight years after losing her, I'm finally ready to try dancing again. I found a twice-monthly dance nearby and hope to knock off the rust and re-connect with dancers (who are such fun people). These videos look like a way to make progress between live dances.
